prophecy

 you cannot tame,

what is already dead,

the sands of time have tried.

 the narrow path,

the only way,

through all the futures seen.

 what was told,

written long ago,

wont be known by us.

if dark hides truth,

then bear witness from the light.

when we dream, we see the fruit,

eonic seeds, from oldest suns.

do not fear, and do not rush,

the soul older than this life.

prisoner luck

 i feel scruff

object in void

sound of something alive

no reactive mass, just bump.

In the dark, i do hide, under starry blanket spot.

Plug my ears, surrounded by distraught

Possibly a combination of tells

That hits right,

Still reading the treasure map

Where's the X?

Oh my god.

the middle chapter

 a slow piano jazz

fills the bar, the smokey vibes

and cocktails, ice, glass clinks

of troubled minds feeling

weariness depart.

rain outside in the brick alley

way while memories of you

are plucked in emotional intervals;

inner skull, and they bounce around

reflecting this version of my life.

nothing beats A Dive to explore

all that. Those crystal tumblers

help the bone collectors as they pour; so

look at my cup, decide on the empty

or full. The band plays the weekend only

and if it stops raining

the lightbulb for last call flares -

sounds of bodies shifting from dancing

to chairs scraping the floor.

the music can be heard always

but no way it stays the same.

jump high. sleep tight

 theres a bounce house

in your life

maybe someday

Little shopping on side,

side of lunch

& the band arrives.

Sunny skies big days with little much,

Happy and cool, coasting down tubes

Under blue light.

I see you smiling,

Hold me close in your arms

Worse and better together.
