jaguar.
in the jungle i am feline
the dangerous color ANIMAL!
roaming round
in hunger state.
i am feral
come touch me. if you touch me.
I might bite
there are birds Above. in wonderful Calamity.
their noise is
bitten.
below
I'm Terrible
come fight me. if you fight me
I Will cry
a Feline !
you will quake and justice strikes.
in the jungle
i am god
the creatures touch me, like peasant flock
jazz rings through the rainbow rain
fluorescence night. fireflies encircle me
i am light
in the village am wrathlike. stealing children
i am untamed. and myself.
you will haunt your dead body
i will live forever
singsong is for the greatest titans
i am that
more.
when man is dying
i cry in lust
my hot body shaking
revulsions
maddening eyes
of blue black red green
spin in substance
hypnotic subtle take
the night is dangerous
i own the night
there is nothing
embody chaos
in the jungle
cold air lies lightly on my face
i am cold
in the winter i am warm
in the summer i am bipolar
in the time it takes me / time to even myself
i am broken
i am broken.

I'm showing some work at the Gainsburg Studio, located in downtown Las Vegas. Its a really neat place, where the woman who owns it, Sharon, is a sculptor working in stone. Heading west on Charleston, you make a left on Maine Street, then a right on Boulder, and its on the left hand side. The paintings will be up for First Friday this month.

cathedral revised2 / mixed media / canvas
final version of cathedral. three photos to show the evolution of the work. i never really intended to have three different stages on display, however, the work sat against the wall and didn't feel complete until the final revision. the ideas all existed on the first draft, but the thought was whether more / had to be incorporated / or whether the subtlety of a blank field would suffice. in the end there was far too little definition in the beginning and / evolving over time, we have, the fully realized idea.

dream waste
effusion
dreams are color
scattered
energy Humming in the night
like power lines
in the sky
humanity runs its fingers / through
ecstasy / exstatic
pleasure night terrors make shimmering planes
dream waste
and washes back
parting
like waves in an ocean
mixes
all
out
of sleeping
heads
a world
slipping. slow ly
forever
farAway
like throbbing dream waste
clarity
unfinished
and never remembered
where dead painters
buy their
pictures.

some items of interest
Two drawings my sister gave me. She brought them back from her travels in Paris
She also brought me a bottle of absinthe from Spain
This book is awesome. A Little White Shadow. The author / she took an obscure 19th century text and whited out the lines keeping only a few words on each page / to make these beautiful simple / variating / style poems.
